Why are resin pendants more durable and less prone to yellowing than ordinary plastic pendants?

Exposure to daily sunlight, temperature fluctuations, and contact with natural skin oils can easily cause the surfaces of lower-density plastics to oxidize, turn white, and become brittle. In contrast, high-quality epoxy resin offers uniform light transmission, moderate hardness (approximately 3.5 on the Mohs scale), and a heat distortion temperature exceeding 60°C. It resists deformation even after prolonged suspension, and its vibrant color layers are securely encapsulated within the transparent body-they are not merely "painted on," but rather "integrated into" the material itself. This type of resin is widely selected for museum-quality miniatures, premium blind-box inserts, and educational aids in craft workshops-precisely because it is trusted to withstand repeated handling and the passage of time.
