Hole Diameter and Position
The attachment structure should be confirmed before sampling. A typical jewelry charm may use a hole of approximately 1.0–2.0 mm, depending on the jump ring, chain, wire or other finding used by the buyer.
Hole position is equally important. A small positional difference can change the hanging angle of a charm, particularly on earrings and pendant-style components. The required hole diameter and center position should therefore be included in the drawing or confirmed on the approved sample.
Component Weight
Existing resin charm references can range from approximately 1–6.5 g per piece, depending on size, thickness and shape.
Weight should be confirmed from the finished sample rather than estimated only from dimensions. This is especially relevant for earrings, where the weight of each component can affect the finished jewelry design.
